Buu Lady is a great little orchid. It's been one of my favorites for many years. It's one half Laelia anceps so it likes to dry out very well between waterings. One way to give moisture without overwatering the medium is to mist around the base of the psuedobulbs where the new roots emerge. It seems to encourage new root growth and the medium can dry well between waterings. Mine did well in a clay pot but I now have it in an open wood basket and it seems to grow very well that way.

Not wet at all, just a little damp for quite a few days. I've heard that's what they like, though?
The fine 'hairy' roots of an oncidium like the Rawdon Jester will appreciate staying damp (not wet), but those cattleya roots must dry off or they will rot.

    cheers,

That's what I assumed as well, but I was actually surprised by my Rawdon Jester...the roots aren't fine like a typical Oncidium alliance orchid. They're as thick as the roots on my Catts! Maybe mine's just freakish...but it's definitely Rawdon Jester - it's not in bloom, but there's no mistaking the plant.
