Default Blc. Chia Lin -Don't know if it's time to panic yet

This is a pic of my Blc. Chia Lin. It grew this sheath then it started to look like this , now it looks like the second pic . Should I be worried first off ? Should I cut a hole in the top just to make sure ? Also I should mention that there is something in the sheath , it is a bit firm to the touch so something is in there . What do I do guys ? HELP!!!!!

    Dont panic.
A sheath can dry up before flowering. You are probably feeling buds that start to develope inside the sheath and you could cut the top of. Just be careful not to cut into any buds!

It's not like I haven't seen the flower of this plant before . When I bought it the bud was just opening . I'm just so happy to think that I got it to flower again . The story of this plant is a winding road . Bought it as a cutting from a larger plant , had small creeping bugs in the coconut fiber that the few remaining roots were buried in , it fell over soon after then I repotted it , it fell again so I repotted it once more into a more stable pot , the leaves just wouldn't firm up at all ,new roots were taking forever to show up and grow , it took a long time (seemingly) to make a new growth and to top it all off I had read that catts only put out one new growth a year and it only flowers on the new growth so was worried that I had to wait another year for any hopes of flowering .
This is officially my first triumph
p.s I forgot to mention , I bought this plant at the end of January this year .
