    Question Virus on my Paph?

I got this Paph Delrosi about a year ago, and it looked absolutely terrible when it arrived. The leaves were yellowing, some of them were split, and there were what appeared to be burn marks down the middles of the leaves and at the edges. I thought it looked like it had been oversunned and overfertilized.

So I've been gentle with this Paph over the past year, and it has been growing nicely. The leaves have taken on a much better color. However, I've noticed a strange spottiness on the leaves that I didn't see before because there were so many other problems with the plant. Here's a front view of the worst leaf:

And here's a view of the underside of the leaf, which actually looks worse than the top:

Besides these strange splotches, the plant appears to be growing vigorously. The new growth doesn't have any of these splotches and is a brilliant green color.

Is this something I need to be worried about, or does it just look like prior damage that never healed? I can't really tell if its gotten worse since I received the plant because it's taken so long for the plant to return to health. I'm REALLY hoping it's not a virus, because this plant has been in close proximity to a bunch of others for quite a while.

What does it look like to you?

Over many years I have enquired with many Professional & Speciaist Paph growers on this matter & non have been able to confirm that Paphs get virus. It is thought that it's possible but they haven't had any positive or fact confirming or denying the fact. What I see is a culture problem in our plant & if the roots are good, treat it with a fungicide & grow on.

Well that's all terrific news!! Thank you!

I'll stop worrying and just keep giving this plant lots of love. It's been recovering well so far, so I think everything will sort itself out eventually. YAY!!
