    Default Dendrobium Burana Prince 911

Please Help this Dendrobium Burana Prince who is not happy. He is a phalaenopsis type. Last bloom was Sept 2012 when it put on a wonderful show.
    Now its just struggling....
He lives in an eastern window inside with temps 65-70 F. A humidifier is nearby and there is a gentle breeze from a fan.
I really want to save him. Bought him in Hawaii on my honeymoon.....
Recently repotted and cut off all dead roots, there were quite a few but I am hopeful with the three new growths. However, they seem to have stalled now.

It was outdoors this summer with all the rest of my orchids.....there were some green roots coming from the new growth in September but they have now turned whitish brown....

    ok. a couple of suggestions.
    1. check for any rot/softness on the cane. you could apply a systemic fungicide if there is a rot.
    2. check for any pests on the media/roots tips appear chewed could be a slug or a snail.
    3. I would possibly give it a soak in seaweed extract/kelp max to promote rooting and keep the medium moist but not wet. setting it near a fan is a good idea.

ok so should I was off all the roots, treat with Phylan and then repot in spag moss? keep it in front of fan in bright indirect light? when would I soak or add the rooting promotion?

check the media for bugs/snails first. then soak the plant in sea weed extract/kelp max for 10-15 minutes. if there is a rot, do a systemic fungicide treatment before seaweed extract.
