    You cant harm it anymore its worth a try good luck. I chopped one of my dend new growth in 1/2 with a wire support trying to remove it I dont use wire to tie up my orchids anymore

    Here's an update on that broken Dendrobium pseudobulb. It appears as though the two ends have started to heal back together! Both the bottom half of the growth, and the top half (the part that was broken off, which is still alive) have continued to increase in length and girth. The leaves on top of the growth also look very healthy. I really wasn't sure whether it would work, but it looks like it has. I think orchids may be tougher than we often give them credit for.

    The area where the two halves are joined is mostly covered with tape right now. Once the pseudobulb is matured, and I can safely remove the tape, I will gladly post of photo so you all can see where pseudobulb healed.

    That is what I keep trying to tell my customers. I also tell them "if you think you've killed it, bring it to me first". Afterall advice is free (and if they don't want to put the effort in and it can be saved I often get a free orchid ).
