    Default Brassia dying back

I have had this Brassia verrucosa for eight months and it had been growing steadily until about a month aThe leaves started to form tan , dry looking patches near the tips that gradually spread down the leaf.
I made sure it was not getting too much light and ended up quarantining it in my shade house. I trimmed back the leaves below the die-back line, treated the cuts with cinnamon after spraying with Physan 20. When this did not stop the further deterioration I tried Neem oil. Eventually pulled the plant to check roots and they appeared to be very healthy. I even tried Spectricide fungicide and am waiting the arrival of some Cleary's to work with. I hope I can post these pictures and figure even if I cannot save this plant it might be good for an example of some disease or other issue.

Looks like a sun burn or heat damage to me. Media appears too dry. Did you repot it recently?

Yes I had pulled it to check for root damage as a cause but they didn't look that bad. I had suspected heat damage for this plant and an O. sphacelatum, which was turning yellow and dying back from the tips also, but not as badly. I would have thought that the condition would not have continued onto new leaves over the last month if it was from a heat event. I cut back the plant, trimmed back the dead roots and gave it a soak in a solution of Physan and Neem, then repotted up six new divisions to see if they will recover. Previous treatment by spraying had no effect. Hopefully I will see new root growth to support the new growth coming out. I am installing Aluminet shade in place of the knit shade material to see if that helps. I built a shade house over the green house in hopes heat could be more controlled.
