The last person I said something like that to here, seemed to disappear and has only sporadically reappeared.
As far as I'm concerned there is nothing I need to deny

I agree that the color is really great! Sometimes, with Cattleyas, it takes a few blooming sessions before you get a good flowering so I would not be too concerned. Good luck!

It takes 100% culture for 100% of the time to produce the best flowers ; but hold on, its not even that simple. If you manage that much ( utopia ! ) then next year you will get better growths and better flowers - so you need to have been doing this - perfection - for years and years, to see the plant at its best - any plant.
Among my orchid friends are ( or maybe I should say have been , since some of the ones I have in mind now grow orchids in that place in the sky ) experts - real pro's - with decades of experience breeding and showing orchids in UK , with a wall of gold medals, awards etc from the RHS. They often told me that orchids go through cycles , getting better, year by year, then have some set-back, maybe a repotting or a bad season . When I admire pictures of their highly awarded plant, maybe a best in show at a big orchid event, they often said things like - " ah that was in such and such a year - the flowers most years were not that good". It's all part of the challenge that keeps us interested in this hobby of ours.
