    Unhappy Help! Purplish discoloration on my orchid?

    Hi!
    I'm new here and this is my first of many, MANY orchid questions!

    So, I have a den-phal orchid (which refuses to bloom after a whole year) that has purple discoloration along the middle of two leaves

    Here is a reference photo: (camera problems, do not own this photo, will post a photo of my plant soon)

    Once in a while threads get missed when one person posts on a lot of threads at once they get pushed off the front page. This on looks like a Cattleya alliance plant and it appears to have gotten a bit too much sun.

    To Snoozy. Sunburn is a lot easier to treat than virus and you won't have to isolate the plant, although you will definitely need to move it somewhere a bit shaded.
