Default Aussie Dendrobium Speciosum sunken pits on leaves

    Hi
Can anyone help me identify the cause of the sunken pits on my Speciosum leaves? I cannot see any scale. I thought it might be marks they can naturally get on older leaves but I think this is definitely something else.

    Thanks Joodles

Almost certainly an acidovorax (pseudomonas) infection, and highly contagious. A topical spray of quaternary ammonium compounds (Physan, for example) can help. For a systemic treatment, copper compounds are effective, although you're not supposed to use copper on dendrobiums.

Thanks Ray. Sounds pretty scary. I posted some repotting question to senior members about this plant. You can see the whole plant and her issues. No response yet. So should I cut the leaves off as well?

If I am not mistaken, it is a topical disease, so if you've disinfected the plant, it should be stopped. Those affected leaves will eventually drop, but removing them early appears to be more of a decision based upon aesthetics than anything else.
