Default Liparis problems ... enlightenment sought

*Sigh* Donít know what Iím doing wrong.

Got a Liparis cordifolia back in March. Put it in my terrarium and it seemed to be doing okay. Couple of weeks ago the leaf turned sort of a beigy brown [starting at the tip of the leaf] and died off. Would have likely just assumed that it was time for the leaf to go except the little secondary bulb lost the little nub of leaf growth it appeared to have and the little bulblet withered away. Iíve tried to keep it moist. Temps in the terr are usually 65 Ė 90 F [latter on hot days]. It is nearer the back of the terr & somewhat lightly shaded by a plant overhead. A fan runs about 12 hours/day [coincides with the light cycle]. Watering with RO water.

    Suggestions/ideas?

90 is pretty hot. Very few 'chids are said to take those temps. What alliances in Liparis?

Can you check the roots ?
Seems like it could be to dry/wet.
With good air movement/humidity temps seem fine.
If it was to much light i would not expect the leaf to brown from the tip .
Fert burn or root rot sounds possible , hence check the roots .
    I would run the fan 24/7 .

    Haven't checked the roots yet.

Unfortunately running the fan 24/7 in the terr doesn't work well for me -- plants, especially those hanging in the terr just dry out waaaaaayy too fast.

First question: Is your fan placed inside the terrarium or pushing or sucking the air from the outside?
If the fan pushes or sucks the air from the outside you created a very effective dryer. The fans should be placed inside the viv/terrarium and be running 24/7

I think your problem is air movement!
