I must have been very wicked in a previous life.
How else can I explain the stupidity that drove me to spray the buds on my Cymbid "Mini-Green" with insecticidal soap for aphids . Over thirty buds died and fell off. Thirty 2 1/2" flowers that will never be seen. Oh the Horror!!
And the evil little suckers came back. From now on I'll just hose the vermin off the plant to keep the population down and wait for after blooming to use the chemicals.
I really feel for you Mark, I'm having the same battle but with Mealie Bugs... I'm not altogether sure if there is a level in which we can spray and not hurt the flowers/buds... I just use my fingers to pick em and squash em!
Oh - sorry Mark! Who would have thought it would croak the flowers faster than the damned bugs?
Enjoy those that are left and try not to think about the others...
Mark, ouch!!! Thirty blooms is a solid thwack to the knees...
I pulled that same bafoo on a miltoniopsis once - only good thing to come of it was the lesson learned!
Sorry Mark I hate the little XXXs .. Gin
