    Unhappy catt. leaves

My catt. has a leaf or two that starts with an orange brown area that spreads to the entire leaf and turns dark brown and dry. It looks like another leaf now has a round dark area in the center. Everything is dry. What could this be and what can I do to save this poor dear orchid? i may try drowning it in some physan 20!! It's been refusing to bloom and develop good roots for a couple of years. I repotted it a couple of months. I have 2 of these orchids. They have a beautiful fragrant flower. The other seems unaffected by this blight but neither appears to be growing roots. HELPPPPPPPP PLEASEEEEEEE

Joan, please post a picture if you can. What is the name of the orchid? And does the brown start where the leaf meets the psuedo-bulb?

    Hi Joan,

If you could post a pic of the plants, it should be much easier to give you helpful advice.

    Cheers,
    BD

I'll try to post a photo but I haven't been too successful in the past.

    Hi BD and Diane,
I wasn't able to post the photo here but was able to do so on another forum under sick catt leaves.

    Hi Joan,

Just image link to the photo if you are unable to resize it to 700 x 700 to fit here.

    Cheers,
    BD

What does image link mean? Sorry for all this trouble BD. I hope with your help I'll be able to send a photo of my ailing catt. I really love it and want to save it.

    Hi Joan,

"To link to an image" = image link. Here is an example.

Say I want to show a photograph of my plant and the photo is called bruce.jpg I have uploaded the photo to a web site like photobucket or in my case rv-orchidworks. (Using Fire Fox Browser) Since I can see my image on the internet somewhere, I can right click on the image and "copy image location" with my mouse.

Then, I can post the link here in the OrchidTalk forum. To post the link as a photo, I can simply click on the square icon that looks like a Mountain. (See red arrow in the image below)
    Name: img.gif
Views: 208
Size: 6.5 KB
Then I can paste the image link into the box that opens. (See blue arrow in image below)
    Name: img2.gif
Views: 207
Size: 7.8 KB
Then hit OK and when you submit your reply or thread, the image will show.

    Cheers,
    BD

Not a problem. You guys and gals keep me smiling. I like to help people and who knows, someday I may need some good karma to come back my way.

    Cheers,
    BD
