    Default Newbie-yellowing problem?

Since I am some what new to Orchids and especially new to anything but Phals, I am wondering about this yellowing. I have had this Brasidium Lillian Oka Hawaii for just under a month. It gets southeast morning sun from sunrise till around noon. I have given it water with a 30% fertilizer twice since owning it. The psudobulbs have never shriveled between waterings and I only watered after it appeared quite dry in the top 1 inch. At night it gets 60 to 65 degree temps (it's located on an unheated enclosed porch) and day time 70 to 74.
The leaves that have yellowed appeared to have had the previous years flowers.
Is this a problem with the plant or just normal die off of old leaves (boy I hope so). The new growth has just been happening and looks quite well.
    Appreciate the help,

    Gordon

I will enclose picture, My last try was too large.

It sounds like normal die-off. How many leaves are yellowing?

I think it's just getting rid of some old leaves to adjust to its new home. A month is about the time you start to see this happening.

Sorry to get here late. I agree with the above too. Normal leaf fade.

    Cheers,

I agree...I've noticed that many plants tend to shed their oldest leaves in order to make room and concentrate energy for new growths...

I have noticed on my phals that as new roots appear up the stem that lower leaves become abandoned. I think that with the onc. aliance that the lower leaves can become abandoned as the leaves on the psudobulds become established.
