I can see some scars from bacterial infection on the first pic. I think that this is new attack of that infection. If those circles start to spread and become brown or black you need to cut off the whole leaf. I have had those things on the plant and I found that very very dangerous for the health of the plant. No pesticides help. You need to stop this infection before it spreads and infects the crown.

Thanks, Aleksa. I have sprayed with R-D 20 and will continue to do so until things get under control. I trust the R-D 20 will do the trick, since nothing else, short of removing the ugliness, will work.

Just a quick note of caution...many years ago I used Orthene to treat several plants for 'bugs' [scale & mealy bugs]. The bugs died... but the Pahlaenopsis that were sprayed produced deformed or stunted blooms for MANY year afterwards. Before the spraying... their blooms were normal. Others I have talked to also reported problems with Orthene and Phals. There are other remedies available... including oils and other organics. I do agree that Malathion is also a good choice... I've not had any problems with it's use.
    Regards... Scotty.
