Are there currently 0 items up for bid on Orchid-Bids Auctions?

Nope. The last items up for bid sold or closed in the middle of last week. When new items go up, you will see them on the lobby page of the forum.
Cheers,
BD

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all exist very nicely in the same box. ...Hmmm? .

I am new here and I just saw the orchid auction board: is it also new? Is that why it is empty? Can everyone post auctions there? Is there a posting fee? It is so nice to see a specialized venue like that!
...oh, I see the answers in the site

Hi Denise,
Orchid-bids is not new, it is just used in spurts. Sometimes there will be several auctions or want-ads, and then other times it will be empty for days. There are no fees for listing or selling under 20.00 US dollars. You have to join the site and be verified before you are allowed to buy or trade in the venue. This protects everyone.
Cheers,
BD

ok, so when I saw the $1 in there, that is just a one-time set-up fee? And the other fees only kick in over $20?
So if something is listed to start at a low price and then it gets bid up to over $20, you would then bill the fees?

Actually it is over 25.00 and you don't pay a cent until you reach your five dollar credit. Visit the site and see the SITE FEES link at the bottom of the page for full details.
The $1.00 is to prove who you are and verify your address. Of the dollar fee, the site rakes in a big .67 cents and Paypal gets the rest...lol! It is for security and it is the only way to sell, trade, or post a want-ad in this forum.
Cheers,
BD
