    thanks to all here!
i really hope randy "delphiguy" is ok, i also met jojo "manilabynight" by sheer accident in manila last week, and how was that to meet a forum member without arranging it? i hope he is doing well!!!

    as for updates,
lots of helpers, volunteers and donations are working around the clock, and from the looks of it, they all do a great job!
rich people helped out with helicopters and others with jetskies to rescue people. they will still continue with that system to bring relieve goods in those areas.

    again,
i cant believe how lucky i was! i met a good old friend here, who has lost his entire ground floor, and he was still in good spirits.

thanks again for all the concerned out there and especially to this wonderful forum!!!

the storm "ondoy" has really caught us by surprise. its supposed to hit northern luzon, so nobody
expects manila to be badly hit, at least I didn't. In Pampanga, we lost electricity saturday morning,
we got really strong winds, so strong that its difficult to get a good breath when i stepped outside the
house to check if our roofs are holding up (i know not a smart move). Then we got an SMS message from
the inlaws saying that Manila is submerged, which was not really surprising because they mentioned CAMAVA
area first which always gets flooded with the tides. And then another SMS message saying Marikina, Pasig
and Quezon City and most of EDSA is already flooded, and that movie stars themselves needs rescuing. That
hits us, on how severe the damages the storm has delivered, the wife and i sat down and said a little prayer.

Anyways aside from a few broken pots and roofs needing repair we are really fortunate that we are well. I
still have a few friends and families that we can't seem to contact, I am especially worried of them because
they live in badly affected areas. I just hope that they're doing fine.

According to PAGASA (weather bureau), it was the strongest we've had (manila) in 100 years, and that the
monthly average rainfall of manila was reach in just 6hrs. And to make matters worst there are 2 more storms
coming our way (thursday), add to that the slow response of the authorities (undermanned and underequipt).

But us Filipino's are resilient, people immediately organized a relief/rescue/relocation places and the
volunteers are really in high spirit... God bless them.

I haven't heard of Jojo (manilabynight) for a while, hopefully he's doing fine, considering that he lives
    along the badly hit area.

Randy, thank you for keeping us updated. We are family here, and this has been quite a worry for those of us who are only getting news from the tv. I'm glad you're okay. Please keep us updated as you get more information.
