Thank you for the prayers and well wishes, folks.

Latest news is that the seizure does not appear to have been caused by a stroke but rather by a "mass"/tumor. Whether the mass is pressing on the brain or actually is on/part of the brain my dad was unclear. From what my parents related to me, though an operation is necessary it seems the doctor did not feel there was any need to go into "panic mode". My mom had sort of hoped to wait until after Easter to have the operation done, but the doctor actually has an opening in his schedule on Friday so she decided not to wait.

    Dear Pavel
I did not see this until today. I am sorry to hear of your mother's situation. I shall hold her and your family in my prayers, and send positive thoughts for a successful Op. and complete recovery.
    God Bless

Paul, I hope she does well. I imagine it's almost as hard on your father as it is on your mother. I hope he takes care of himself. My best wishes to your family. Good luck to the surgeon and staff as they tend to your mother.

Glad to hear that it was not a stroke! Hope that it is not too serious and the operation rectifies the situation. How far do you parent's live from you?

    And an update:
The tumor turned out to be the size of a baseball. (How something that big can fit inside a human skull along with the brain is mindboggling.) Tumor was ruled benign. Mom is doing quite well.

    Thanks again for the prayers/thoughts!
