OrchidTalk folks at SWROGA

Well, here we are -- Bruce, Gin, jfrizz743 and sadie at the SWOGRA show. As it happened, Bruce's and my exhibits were side-by-side, so we are standing in front of his, and mine is to the right in the picture. It was fun to meet you both--Gin and Geoffery.

I took lots of pictures of plants etc--and I know Bruce did as well. Once I get a few together, maybe we'll do a joint post.

And here are Bruce and I with our exhibits. As it happened, we were both lucky enough to win trophies as well as some ribbons! Crazy! So here we are sporting our newly won trophies. Bruce won best amateur class and I won best table top. This was my first show and I was more than a little nervous so Bruce also should have won some kind of prize for talking me off the cliff periodically.

Because he might not want to brag, I should also mention that Bruce had TWO plants pulled for AOS judging and got an HCC on one! I'll let him give you the details. But how awesome is that!

Even better than the trophies and ribbons, of which there were many, I loved the huge smiles!

Congratulations!! Wow, how cool that must have been for both of you!!
Just one side note...if B.D. lives in the south....I would like to know why those southern cooks haven't fattened him up yet?? The manners down south must be faltering..... We'll have to get he and his OH down to Florida for some home cooking one of these days...lol.
