Orchid Fair - Santa Barbara Orchid Estates - Anyone going?
I am considering driving up to Santa Barbara for the 2008 Orchid Fair and I was wondering if anyone else is planning to go.
It will be on July 11, 12 and 13.
I still have not decided if I will go on all 3 days or just one or two days.
One option would be to go there on Saturday and then spend Sunday going around Santa Barbara.
And to anyone who has attended previous Orchid Fairs, any advice for a first-timer?

Hi,
I'd like to go and have no transportation. A friend is thinking of driving. We're both newbies, and would probably only go for one day.
If you have any more info, please email me.
Thanks.

I'd love to go, John. Would you like to adopt me and fly me out there? LOL (Fraid that's about the only way I could foresee my making it.) Take LOTS of pics!

The wife and I are going up on Friday night and staying the night so that we have all day Saturday to take in the show and visit the nursery. I take the wife so that I stay with in the budget but it does not always work that way

To the folks who are planning to go to SBOE OrchidFair, please stay tuned to the fire alerts as it is pretty close to the Earl Warren show grounds.

Hey everyone,
I am lucky enough to live in Santa Barbara - about 3 miles from the Santa Barbara Orchid Estate. Do not worry about the fire. As of Friday night, it is pretty much contained.
My husband and I are heading to the fair tomorrow morning. I highly recommend that people check out the actual Santa Barbara Orchid Estate and not just the fairgrounds. It is beautiful and right next to the ocean.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!
