Thanks for the extra pictures!.I must say that is a most impressive show.I get a lot of my orchids from Thailand. Thailand has deservedly earned a reputation for the quality of your vandas, dendrobiums and cattleyas but now, from your pictures I see that she has also made great strides in producing paphiopedilums, especially of the warm tolerant variety.
I am looking forward to acquiring these paphs. I hope some of our nurseries will import them from Thailand soon.
These photos are just wonderful. Thanks so much for giving us a peek into your wonderful world of orchids.
I am drooling at the photos again! Beautiful!
I am particularly interested in the species orchid at the top with the red ribbon - the small orchid with the diminutive purplish flowers. What is that? Also, the phalaenopsis having the small, whitish, yellowish-lip clump of flowers catches my attention. What is that too? Looks like a violacea/bellina alba or maybe a hybrid from it but I am not sure.
And yes, the paphs are also beautiful. Seems like Taiwan and Thailand are leading in the development of outstanding orchid hybrids nowadays ......
Some additional info. There is another orchid show on in Bangkok from the 10th of August at the botanic garden opposite Jatujak Weekend Market. Not sure how long it goes, but I would think for the week.
Two shows at the same time practically.
Thanks again Brett for the pictures and info.
