    Wink Show In Progress 10-22-23-24

Orchtoberfest 10 is happening in DeLand Florida. It's an International Orchid show going on this weekend and it is great. Orchtoberfest 10 has a lot to offer for Serious, Casual & Novice Growers, plus Comercial Interests & "lookie loos" alike.

We were there yesterday. I talked to many folks, some of whom are here on ORCHIDTALK from time to time. I realize we aren't supposed to mention names. However it is about growers, breeders & hobbyists from across U.S.A. including Hawaii & South America who gathered here again for this great annual event. IF you're in the Central Florida Region & serious about Orchids do not miss this "Freebie Show". A lot to see & lot's to learn also. It's worth the effort, and there are 2 days left. It's free to all comers.

Check it out for yourselves if you can. There are free rides for kids, places to sit & talk for Orchid Fanatics & carnival ambience for fans & curious folks. Emu's & Donkies & other animals roam a fenced off range area, within sight.
It is not a money maker for anybody. It's a chance to broaden our bases & even see and learn more about these great plants. . . . .

I'll post pix later when I have a chance. I'm way way overloaded today and can not "gitter-Dun" right now. For the physical addy, simply google it. This is an opportunity to grow knowledge & wisdom on Orchids for all who attend. I thought I'd share with y'all.

Not a chance I'm likely to ever make it so I will have to settle for pics.

Arrow Photos coming. . . .Really folks they are.

It was a good show and there were many folks over the weekend as usual.

I'm involved with a Naval Air Station Museum here. We put on annual events associated with Veterans Day.
This year has a "Re-dedication Ceremony" for our 15th year.
A Big Band Hangar Dance, Veteran's Day Parade, Open House & Ceremony in 3 consecutive days takes up a lot of time.
I promise to post photos of this Orchid Show soon as I have opportunity & time to so do. Thanks for being patient on this.

this show is an annual event as you may have gathered from the above post.
It's worth knowing about, and in my opinion visiting.
It just keeps getting better & better as time passes.
