I went last week. Inhale deeply when you walk into one of the three rooms. Each smells different. Beware, though, the docents are really not knowledgeable about orchids. Some orchids are tagged and some are not. Kinda made me think NOID because the docents couldn't help. However, while it is a small exhibit, it is nice. I think they are switching out the orchids with those in the National Botanical garden orchid collection. It's definitely worth the time if you are in DC.

The rooms definitely fragrant. There were not many docents to talk with and too many people besides. But it was fun for me to show the children some pretty blooms and get then more interested. But I did learn more about vanilla and orchid seeds in general.

Sorry to hear about the docents. They were supposed to have the experts in from the National Botanical Gardens. I think they are switching out the plants between the botanical gardens and the Natural History. I work very close and it is so much easier to run to the Natural History than to the botanical gardens.
