Oh dear, Connie! What are you trying to do to us????!!!!??? It's way more than enough to get my catt collection up and running again! BTW, is THIS what I missed last month when Phillip got sick and I couldn't go with you and Cathy? Oh, the pain, the pain.... Good thing I didn't spot any paphs! But thank you for the beautiful photos - vicarious living is the next best thin, etc, etc, etc.

You certainly captured a hugh variety with colors galore. Connie let me ask you, how many orchid nurseries are within say thirty miles of you? AL

Down here we don't really go by distance...it's how many minutes you are from a given thing. Traffic here makes counting miles useless. But within say 30 minutes driving I could go to anywhere from 7-10 places on any given day. On weekends that number goes up. If i'm willing to leave the county and drive say an hour I would have probably 20-30 places with at least 5 being major nurseries and 10 being road side stands...hope this helps a little. Florida is kind of a plant lovers paradise and once you narrow down what exactly you want to collect it becomes much easier to decide where to shop.

And for Susie...send me an email and i'll give you the name of a very nice realtor that will help you find a place centrally located between the greenhouses. lol But seriously; If you ever come to the Tampa area on vacation let me know and i'll come pick you up and drive you around. I even have friends that rent out a lovely cottage...lol. I love living here. When we chose to move from Michigan for my health, I did a ton of research. Here in Pinellas County they like to talk about our "chamber of commerce" weather...in other words the sun shines a lot. lol I understand why so many people have packed into this one county! I am very blessed and thankful for my new home...I still giggle after nearly 10 years down here because I love it so much.
