Great photos as usual Branka! These are particularly special as I know how difficult it is to take photos at orchid shows. All the orchids are impressive as befits plants from such a prestigious show. Thanks for sharing.

I do have great memories about exhibition and city in general.
We enjoyed on Friday evening (in a restaurant where are playing czardas) in dinner with their typical spicy food, for example goulash with spicy red paprika - we hardly ate - hot hot hot... The atmosphere was really very pleasant and the wines are excellent too.
Wherever I go, visit Marketplace; they have a nice, large Marketplace in the city center. I've never seen so many sausages before: sausage with sweet peppers, with chilli pepper, with garlic, vegetables, regular sausage ... sausages everywhere.
We have been impressed with river bus...
A pity that the weather was bad and that there was not enough time: to visit Budapest we would need about 2 days.

Love the picture of the sausages - the red, waxy looking sausages remind me of our Chinese sausages. Is that an amphibious bus?

Im very new to orchids but let me just say those photos are nothing short of awe inspiring. I never knew there were so many unique types of orchids! I feel like I've gone down a rabbit hole and am still trying to find the bottom. My wife is wondering how our laundry room has turned into a modified green house seemingly overnight lol. And catttan, either that's an amphibious bus or somebody needs to stop watching their gps

I could not resist Diodonopsis erinacea, Maxillaria schunkeana, Maxillaria subulifolia, leafless Microcoelia cornuta and Dickasonia vernicosa. I wonted to buy Maxillaria richii too, but they didn't have it. They are all tiny little orchids.

Ah, those names, hard to track changes. Thanks Ron for the notice, I will try to keep in mind

I'm not quite sure if this is amphibious bus, we watched navigation from the river bank, but I think is more like a boat.

Branka, what a fun, interesting tour guide you would be. I have mental images of the restaurant you went to and the marketplace with the overflowing sausages. I would love to attend the Budapest and Dresden Orchid shows. Thanks for these wonderful posts! AL
