I totally failed to advertise our show here, but I can at least post some pictures after the fact.

Some of the pics are blurry, but most are ok.

What a show! And the black background really sets it off quite nicely! And I'm only talking about the ribbons so far!!!

That is a really good display, loads of flowers but not everpowering. Great work!

Loved the Paph primulinum x insigne.. but why isn't it a multifloral... good stuff like that should give lots!!!

Also, love the Paph Thomas Foreman... nice mix of colours. (geepers, and I'm only up to pic 18...)

Yep, the Cirrhopetalum Icicles deserved those multi-shots... and it only got a third? Sheesh... I'll never know what makes a pretty plant!

hmm, Paph victoria-reginae.. hmmm... Paph Recovery (lusting)

ok ok, will stop commenting and just keep looking.

Thanks heaps for sharing this Sue!

    cheers

    Gin:
I didn't bother taking pictures of my own plants. I already have pics of my own plants!

    White ribbon:

    Tim:

Cochlopetalum crosses are successive in different ways . . . every time I've seen one crossed with a single flowered plant, the offspring holds only one bloom at a time per spike. On the primulinum x insigne, I seem to remember, however, that there were no buds remaining on any spike, and no evidence of prior blooms on any spike, which would be really odd, if I am remembering correctly. Was I answering a question? Please forgive me if I implied at any point that I was going to be coherent. I'm worn out. Strange day today. Anyhow.

Re: Icicles. Yeah! I loved this blooming, and thought it deserved a blue ribbon, but flower quality does have its place in the consideration. First was a Elizabeth Ann 'Buckleberry' FCC. Only one spike on it, but beautiful. Second was, I think a Bulb. rothschildianum with two nice umbels.

I like the first Recovery (from Greater Kansas City) better than the second (from Hilltop).

Congrats on the ribbons Sue. Here we only have ribbons for first and second (I think), blue and red respectively so what's white for?

And yes, you're quite coherent... at least to me who's just woken up hehehe... guess when they hybridise, the idea with the cochlo vs single flowered is to get the successive blooming, but not all progeny will take after the cochlo.

Thanks again, for the great show!

    cheers

I almost certainly can't make it to the Ark. show.

Tim: white is for third. Oh, and I think Cochlo hybrids will always produce at least a couple of blooms per spike. Which is why I thought that plant was odd.

And yeah, the Guardian Angel is a nice, impressive, strange hybrid.
