Hello Geoff. Now, how do we define expensive... LOL.
In the Cotabato-Davao area, a Euanthe sanderiana in bloom would start at somewhere around 600 Philippine Pesos or about 14 US dollars, depending on the size of the plant and whether it has 1 or 2 spikes. It goes up to about 1,200 pesos or US $28.50 for bigger plants. Now if the flowers are beginning to wilt and the fair is about to end, they sell for around 400 pesos or US$ 9.50 on the average.

I think those are Caesalpinia or the Peacock Flower (the orange and green ones), but I'm doubtful because the leaves look different to me. I don't think the white one is a hoya. It's a relative of what we locally call "santan" which comes in red, yellow, or pink flowers in bunches. The white is not quite as common.

I paid 75 US dollars for my very good dark blue , which I call Midnight Magic, in flower. The dealer who imports from a well known Thai breeder sells FS - not in spike, newly imported miscellaneous V and Ascda plants at 25 dollars, or 35 if in spike. Sanderiana is 60....
You will see what I mean !

The other blooming strap vandas in the photos sell for around US$19.00 though they go down to around $ 14.20 towards the closing stages of the fair. I bought a blue one which wasn't in spike for $8.20. The mokaras and other terete and quarter terete vandas normally sell for $ 4.15 in full bloom.

Some more terrestrials. That white bulb (top photo) is fragrant.
