I was going through the stalls at a local trade fair and these flora happily greeted me... first the orchids and then the fabulous land plants

Gorgeous vandas there, Angel! Amazing group of V sanderiana - glad to hear that it will officially be made the national flower of the Philippines. Thanks Angel for the pictures. Can't help but notice (Pix #5) the 2 V Yano Blue , the ones with the fine purplish spots on a white background : mine is blooming too at the moment.

That's good to hear Yew Sung! I had that one years ago but it died. Then I bought another one, and it also died. At the fair, I only bought one orchid, the blue vanda in that same Photo #5. Would you know what that one is? That is also the blue vanda in Photo #4.

Would you also know what that orchid in the photo after the oncidiums is?

Yes Yew, the bill is with the senate now. It will be made the national flower side by side with the jasmine sambac (sampaguita) which has been the sole national flower ever since. However, the sampaguita is not a native of the Philippines unlike the sanderiana.

Hard to ID the blue vanda but could be Pachara Delight and the other could be Brassia rex.
