There are a few dendrobiums in these pictures that are super dark purple, yes the color is accurate! If I hadn't already broke the bank i'd have grabbed one of these as well.

I keep threatening to install a bed in the lathe house with the vandas....I could just live in there! I would love to have met the person first that sold them all these monsters. The orange Mokara came from out here...it was a last minute grab. lol And I got a great deal on it.

And you ask....what did I buy? I bought a bunch this time. A dendrobium with amazing color and big flowers. One mokara that is just so pretty. Three little cattleya that are all the same cross...but with seed this is what you get: an irresistable array of color. The big tall drink of water is a C. Bowringiana. I saw it and snatched it up...can't wait to see the flowers when that one blooms out. I hope you all enjoyed the trip to the nursery...I know I sure did. Between the bag of supplies and two bags of orchids I thought my husband was gonna fall over when I started unloading the van. LOL Poor man....

This first bunch are all the same cross...one will be going to Rich for all the beautiful flowers he is sending me.

And the last three...I sat the bowringiana next to the dendrobium for size comparison. The dendrobium is nearly 3 feet tall, with the flower spike.

If I could only raise one type of orchid, down here it would be dendrobiums. I can't wait to see this one next year. It will get repotted this fall so next year I should get at least two or three spikes of flowers.

    Until next time...the end.

thanks for the post, first time I went to a nursery and it didn't cost me anything, I definitely would have bought that mokara, all are nice.
