Now now Diane,
Julie might need to wear spandex out of necessity. Have you seen those cyclists wearing skintight outfits (even though some of them are so unsightly FAT!)? Actually, I used to live in Boston and wearing spandex does help you keeping warm when you excercise outdoor. In my running club here even in our balmy Southern Cal winter weather, many runners wear spandex pants during our practices at night. These spandex suits (tights and shirts) work quite wonder, just enough to keep you warm and allow rapid perspiration.
And I think that you will ENJOY the SB show, just don't want to say too much before the big day to spoil it for you ...Hehehe!!!
Okay, Julie, we give in and believe that you are great with biking and definitely, you could (or might) beat us. Strong leg muscles and endurance count the most with biking although a good bike will help you a lot. I always think my bike is too heavy (it is a mountain bike for goodsake but I ride it from Redondo Beach to Venice and back or from Pasadena to Long Beach and back). And we won't force you to wear a 44 HH D-cup or whhatever for the dance troupe since you have to squeeze your cats in there but the thought of it is so fun, don't you agree?
