I have come home with more then 14 before so I took it easy this time. Actually I have decided to cut off buying orchids when I hit 250, after yesterday I only have 6 more I can get, so I have become a little picky on what I want to buy.

I took the day off Friday and went down with some friends. We had a great time. I'm on a bit of a budget and came hope with just 3 but a friend picked up 28 and is a newbie. I'll take advantage and help her with hers, lol! I got 2 minicats and a vanda with buds and a baby den. I haven't been in several years and I thought it was wonderful, maybe a bit overwhelming and easy to get into rabid purchasing, but fantastic.

I know how hard it is to resist buying all those gorgeous plants. I know a couple of of vendors from Penang who regularly go to Redland.

I've told myself that once I am out of residency and have my first vacation I plan to go to the Redlands. So many orchids so little time...

Come in a truck so you will have room to take home all that you will buy! You could also visit all the nurseries down in the area and buy more.

Yes I can envision myself flying down and renting a truck while we are there to cart my stuff back home.

A couple of years ago we were driving down to the Keys and to my surprise, found ourselves going by the nurseries of Redlands. I had heard of it here on the Forum, of course, but never realized where it was. It wasn't Orchid Festival time, but I had to stop and find several plants to take home anyway. Who knows when I will be back? I would love to go during Festival.
