Anyone going to the
The 26th New York International
Orchid Show
Rockefeller Center
April 20-23, 2006??

I would like to go, specially since it would be my first orchid show.

You should go and take a camera! I was there last year just after it was over. The huge tent was still up and there were orchids all over town. It must have been amazing!

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all exist very nicely in the same box. ...Hmmm? .

I won't be down, but you should definitely go! I was at the one in '94, my last winter in NYC. It was down at the World Financial Center (and I worked in the Trade Center) and it was phenominal!

And that was when I was in a place where I couldn't grow plants. I'd go way too berserk now!!!

Enjoy, and give us all a vicarious thrill, recounting your wildly excessive purchases (with photos, please!)

Yes! I will be there on Saturday! I have been looking foward to this event for a long time and even pre-ordered some orchids from one of the venders. It is a great orchid show. Last time I went I convinced my sister to come and got her hooked on orchids too. This year my sister is bringing her daughters, and our men are taking the kids to the Bronx zoo. Can't wait!

I wonder how many other people from the orchid talk are going be there?

LOL, I't not like they are saying anything against more orchids, but last time we told them "everything we bought was 2 for $5". Just a little lie, but it did make them more relaxed about the bags full of plants we came back with!

When I bought my fully loaded racing bike (bicycle), the shop offered me a "spouse's receipt." That was a receipt for a fraction of the cost actually spent.

I was single, but I caught the message, and appreciated the sense! You need spousal receipts for orchids, but the SO's/hubbies are pesky in that they actually see the new plants!!

So, the plan still needs some work...

Oh my gosh, what a GREAT idea! Spousal Receipts!! I bet we could have done very well at the orchid shows with those! LOL!

Ahhh, I got pressure from not to buy, and I got pressure from me and x to buy, buy, buy! Ahhh !!

LOL, I just found out I'm going with some friends. Maybe Saturday. Oh wait, I take classes on Saturday, I'll go on Sunday, geees.
