    Default Oerstedella calageria blooms!

    A tiny flowered epi type orchid. No scent...blooms are very interesting. Just for reference that is my pinkie in the picture..

    Geez, I know..my cuticles are horribly overgrown
    ...not a great shot..but gives you an idea..it's in a 2" pot with three spikes!

    Incredibly cool lip! How long have you had it, Clint?

    What kind of care does it require?

    Is it somewhat deciduous? [I notice it only has leaves at the tip.]

    Does it continually get taller?

    I bought it last October....it seems to like being in oncidium light with a slight drying out between waterings. It is deciduous..I thought I was killing it at first but this is quite normal before it blooms. I don' t think the canes get any longer once they have bloomed...but I could be wrong...no new growth is evident at the base either...

    Oh, it is beautiful. I love the flowers, just wish they were bigger! They would get lost in my jungle of a greenhouse-mess. LOL.
