I wanted to cry. Maybe because it started to snow again. So much for spring. Or maybe it was my 2 yr old just broke the spike off my newly named Papilio, thank you members. I got 2 blooms off it this year and was so excited to see another blossom. @#$*!!! How do you get upset at a two yr old, expecialy when I just bought him the bat and rubber ball. This is what it looked like. The pic will have to do till next time.

Did it break the spike itself or just the blossom? My Psys bloom continously, so if it is just the blossom another should come shortly. If it is the spike, then it should branch and bloom within 4 - 6 months.

The spike is about a foot high, half the height that the other one was, and it broke off the last inch. Hope it will continue.

It should put out a branch from the first or second node below the break. Be patient, don't get discouraged. I've done it many times. They have all grown branches.
