I have to say it is an easy keeper. I have had this plant for 4+ years in the same basket. It lives out in the lathe house on the south side, I water it weekly and fertilize bi monthly or more. I do protect it in high winds and extreme cold (35 or lower) Other than that it likes where it lives, I can't say I do a lot to make it happy. Maybe it likes my red hair LOL.

Mine is growing long on rather than round. Each pseudobulb is producing another two and they grow forward, and the plant is getting top heavy. How did you keep yours so nicely shaped?

Cin, your max a gorgeous! Drool, drool. His little brother that you gave me a year ago had one bloom and put on 10 pbulbs last year. This year so far one bloom and LOTS of new growth. He wants to be like his big brother - I'd showed him your max's picture.

PS - it probably is the red hair but I'm not ready to try that yet Maybe on Darwin???? Nah, won't look as good as yours.

Woooohoooo! I just went in looked - max has THREE buds!
