    Is that one flower or is each of those 'things' a flower? Weird bulbo. hehe...

    Ir is a rachis covered with flowers spaced along it.

    I almost bought one of these at SWROGA the other weekend. It is endemic to the Phillipines. One clone of this plant was awarded in 1991 with 250 flowers and 100 buds on seven inflorescences with another 7 immature inflorescences. I would love to see one that one!

    What a bizzare looking thing. Does it have any fragrance/stench? Looks like a sliver of meat covered in flies to me.

    fortunately or unfortunately, I don't put my nose into many of my Bulbos...I will check tomorrow.

    The name saurocephalum is sauro = snake, cephalum = head as Jason has alluded to in his post. So, the taxonomist thought that each flower resembled a snake's head...I can see that
