Xylobium variegatum
This is a cool to intermediate species found in wet mountain forests of part of Central and South America. It is not frequently seen in collections. I grow it with my Maxillaria but in Sphag.

because it flowers beneath the leaves, I almost missed it blooming. I see a second spike also forming.

Such lovely, hidden little flowers - Are they fragrant?
Cheers,

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all exist very nicely in the same box. ...Hmmm? .
