I have the Amani (sp?) Island form. Yes. In the winter the low is about 55 F. Is that cool enough?

Amami Island...I let mine get cooler than that. I have a greenhouse window and it can get cool in there. That is where I keep my cool resters and my Neof. for the winter. If you are ever interested in trading for a piece of it, let me know. I don't have that form.

Your photo made me gasp out loud when it popped up on screen. That is such a beauty. Something about these flowers just speak to me. (And I guess I have a lot of company given their history. ) I don't have many, but here's my list of neofinetia varieties

    Benisuzume
    Karanishiki
    var. grandiflora
    var. Amami
    falcata 'Ira's Electric Circus'
and a couple of little no names

You when there is a thread you just cannot stop looking at? I just have to look at these beautiful flowers. I hope you don't mind that I put those pictures as my computer background. Just soooo pretty. Do you happen to have any pictures of the Tomakonga variant as I can't seem to find them online? Great blooming Ron!!!

the flower is actually white but turned out green in this pic of var Tomakonga. It is a bean-leaf variety with short spurs but the fragrance is a strong jasmine scent.

Thanks for posting it Ron. I'm pretty sure I like the Shutennou better!! Maybe it's just the picture though.
