    Default Coel. Burfordiense update

Took a spike shot today. I noted that it is lightly fragrant today but the scent was not pleasant. Each flower is about 3" across.

    That is so beautiful..

The lip looks like some sort of futuristic-antique epaulet.

That lip is so wonderful. Looks like you got a bunch of blooms from this one. How long do they typically last?

    Cheers,

Bruce, this is a first blooming for me...so, time will tell. I also have a second lead developing on the other side of the plant. I am hoping for another spike. If not, I do have a spike developing on my Coel South Carolina, another pandurata cross.

What a lovely display! I love the star shape and, like everyone else, the contrast on the lip.
