    Default Maxillaria graciles (cerifera)

This species I have not been able to ID. The p-bulb stands about an inch tall topped by 2 narrow 6" leaves. It is a prolific bloomer with a sweet fragrance. The flower is a bit over 1" high. Eleven blooms and buds with this initial flush! 4" pot

Love the spots and the color of the column. Spectacular. Are they(Max's) difficult to grow Ron?

Many are easy, some are more difficult. It took me some time to get cultures down. Many sources say shade for them, I couldn't bloom them...now I have them in fairly bright light with some sun and most are blooming. I have a Max equadorense coming into spike...only one bloom right now...this a neat species! Looks like I will have quite a few spikes this year.

Whatever the name, it's beautiful. I love the spots and the red tinge on the edge of the petals and sepals.

Ron, do you have a Max like the one in my avatar? It is my favorite. I took the picture at the NYBG...I've always wanted one, but have always been afraid of them...I killed one already :-(

Oh gosh, I am so silly - the plant in my avatar is a Promenaea, not a Max...forgive me, I was really tired last night! Hello Becky...haha.
