    Default Max hybrid for Jenny

Jenny, there are Maxillaria hybrids. I purchased this one in error. Didn't have my reading glasses on and thought I was buying a species. I have kept it for it is a beautiful hybrid. There are also Maxillaria intergeneric hybrids. I made 2 myself this year and both pods are still ripening. One is a Lycaste onto a Maxillaria and the other an Angulocaste (Anguloa x Lycaste) x Maxillaria

This is a cross of pulla x striata.

Cool hybrid max, Ron. It is really nice too. I can see why a collector of species would keep such a wonderful cross!

    Cheers,

Thanks Ron! Great information. I probably could have gone shopping online and figured that out, but that always ends badly for my bank account! ;-)
