Ron, when you say collecting & growing Bulbos, are you meaning strictly Bulbos, or do you include Cirrhopetalum? I confess I'm never quite sure where one genus leaves off and the other begins. Definitely like them both.

    Cheers,

    Rob

Rob...taxonomists at work....that is where I luck out and my life became easier. There is nothing left in the genus Cirrhopetalum. Fairly recently, Cirrhopetalum has once again been relegated to sectional level within Bulbophyllum and for once I agree that is where they belong. It was difficult when Seigrist moved 70 of them back to Cirrhopetalum, in 1994.

I am crazy about bulbos, too!
(sorry I have just found the topic)
It is my dream, to collect all Macrobulbon section bulbos. I have only b.fletcherianum and b.phalaenopsis. I have seen b.cruentum for sale, but never seen the b.orthosepalum! I wish I could find this beauty for my collection.
    Your plant is awesome!
    Congratulations!!!

Thanks for bringing this one back natali, not sure how i missed it!

Fantastic, amazing, wonderful plant and bloom!

Like McJulie, I will have to enjoy this through your collection Ron (and hopefully through Natali's soon ) space and heat issues preclude me from trying this and I'm not about to start growing them inside the house hehehe...

    WOW!
    I like the comparison

P.S. Ron, do you know where I can find such beauty? I checked many nurseries, websites etc, and did not find any selling these bulbos. Any help with the information is strongly appreciated! Please PM if you can help!
