    hello forum,

    i have this ground orchid (philippines) in my garden, its a native and cant ID it.

    anyone?

    It's pretty, Ron, hope you can ID it. It looks a little like my walking iris in shape. That sunny yellow is wonderful!

    beautiful ron! I don't think it is an orchid. I think it is in the family of irises (Iridaceae) though and are related to orchids

    I was going to say they look like the african iris' plants my friend gave me....but everyone else beat me to the punch....lol Pretty though!

    yes, you were right, its a walking iris.
    apparently a poor man's orchid, i almost got offended. lol

    im soooo poor, but yet so rich in flowers...

    Like your idea, Ron! Wonder what our iris kids would look like? My walking iris blooms on the hangy downy stems; yours looks like it blooms on upright stems. What and interesting couple they would make. Upright hangy downy blooms? Tiger stripe purple and gold?

    yes, mine is upright, does it make it a male? just kiddn...

    im sure, they would make a great couple, we could only imagine the outcome!
