On the eight remaining spikes there are currently 42 blooms. Each spike has between four and six blooms. Four spikes have past their prime and the blooms have fallen off. I wondered about the fragrance too since I am usually not out in the GH after dark. I could not smell any fragrance. ?? I though it would be fragrant at night. It is dark out, but not very late (6:30 PM CST).

Anyway, thanks for all the nice comments.

    Cheers,
    BD

Yes, it is one that survived the move with us from Virginia.

The red oncidium is a Wils. Lisa Devos. I posted its photo a couple of weeks ago. Those blooms are so long lasting. Here is that thread for reference: Wils. Lisa Devos

And as for Sadie.....Glad I have four large dogs. The Great Dane would probably step on your foot before you got fully in the yard! LOL. hehehehe... It is like having a horse protect the greenhouse.

I might still be willing to risk it. WE have two big German Shepherds--maybe if I brought them along they could distract your pups . . .

Tmai--just name the time and place.
