    This is Tainia hookeriana. It is a deciduous Asian orchid. Distribution is E. India to Taiwan and Pen. Malaysia. First literature reference is apparently 1895.

    Thanks, Laurent. You can see how I related to Ron's Hershey Kiss analogy. I wish that the camera hadn't focused on the shelf instead of on the blossom.

    I love the shape of those flowers. You mentioned it's deciduous, so it goes dormant? Is it hard to care for?

    Joe in the wild they grow happily on the humus rich substances .Your pbulb. is very big, that I always seen in the nature, good growing.Zain
