    Hi Tami

They bloom for almost two long months ...
are continuous but a flower only lasts one day.

To ensure a good harvest of fruits is practiced artificial pollination.... is the best method in the commercial cultivation of vanilla.
This work is only performed with flowers the bottom of the bunch, because the higher give small fruit.

These self-fertilize, but they need pollinators, such as certain bees and hummingbirds, which get their nectar and carry out pollination.

The flowering is given on short stems (pedúnculos)
that spring from the axils of the leaves.

I'm jealous. I grow vanilla but don't get it to flower. Is there a trick to it? Do you use a certain type of fertilizer? I'll post a pic later.

I have had this plant for about 6 years now. Despite heat/humidity here it has never blossomed, just keeps climbing and growing...
