Cool, Nelson. The dendrobium carinatum is really amazing. I love the racing stripes on the petals. I also like the soft color and the varigation in the bloom of the coelogyne remediosae too. Thanks for another wonderful visit to the farm!

    Cheers,
    BD

    Default Thank you, BD.

I hope the coelogyne blooms some more. I have a number of coelogynes in the farm, but only Coelogyne bilamellata blooms continuously.

    Wonderful photographs all, Nelson!

What camera did you end up choosing? Did you find a way to live with your new camera, or did you fall back on the ol' reliable?

For this set I used the Canon EOS400D (or Rebel XTi), with macro lens. I tend to use it for outside shots, and for the indoor shots I use the Olympus C5060. Even though I try to use the Canon also for the indoor shots, somehow I never get the results that I get with the Olympus. For example, the Euanthe sanderiana post was done with the Olympus, as the Canon shots do not quite deliver the results I want.

I think it is only a matter of time and of tinkering with the Canon some more, so I am not giving up.
