Howard, good luck with the next blooming, hopefully Ron's suggestion will help, it's such a beauty that it must be worth a 4th blooming...

quite welcome Tim...it is a pleasure to amuse and edcucate at the same time.
My wife once told me to Grow Up!...I said: no thank you!

Howard's other choice is to send it to me and I will try to bloom it without spots for him
Right...I have one of it's distant ancestors (Lucianii) and am still trying to bloom it. I am taught patience by buying small seedlings. It is about at blooming size now. I also have a couple of skinneri alb rescues that I am nursing back to health. Poor things getting smaller each year, had scale and were thrown in the trash. They are on the mend and have a larger growth this year.

Ron, just 'cause you've tried for three years to get your Zygopatelum to flower with a scent, have been unsuccessful and I had told you it was my turn, doesn't mean I'm feeling in a reciprocal mood..LOL

I have done due diligence to keep water or anythig from landing on the flower and still brown gunk! I can't believe this is something cultural for this flower!

    Hi

    Your Lycaste is beautiful.

This is one of my favorite genres. I have some in my patio, the Lycaste skinneri, has a very soft scent . Many yellow smell of cinnamon

    HI

Ahhh but it does not matter which has no fragrance ... would be much to ask
after its beauty is more than enough.

    Disfrútala.
