    Smile Taenia paucifolia

I found this species 5 years ago 100 km from Kuala Lumpur near the foot hill of Fraser Hill very popular for birds watching. The flower numerous up to 30 was very happy initially cause found new species but when I bring near to my nose oh dear the smells were so terrible. So I just passed over to my friend and 3 month ago I saw this plant again and took back just to share the bloom with you. The color so brilliant under the shade, with bad smells is not rotting meats but ??? unable to describe.

What a little beauty, shame that it stinks, I am avoiding getting any stinky ones even though I have two bulbos but I did a lot of research check they are not stinky! My husband does not like the smell of hyacinths so wonder what he will make of the smell of what I count as my prettier smelling orchids. Thanks for the photos of this beauty For once I am glad I dont get smellynet!

That color must almost disappear into the surroundings; must be why it has to be stinky. It is a pretty bloom.

    Cheers,

That is a good question no body know only God, but in natural habitat its true what Bruce said sometimes you cant see until you step on the plant / flowers n bad smells touching your olfactory bulb.
