Gilda, what media are you using for this pretty boy? (There can't be any question that it's male...) Is the culture generally the same as for vandas?

Thank you Julie..I am sorry to say the medium it is in ,is badly decomposed bark.... I didn't get around to repotting it this year, so I am sure it is mush. I just watch the watering. High as light as you can give it without burning the leaves...mine summers outside in the lath house.

We don't have Trader Joe's....I hear they have some great buys and great orchids !!

It doesn't look as though it's suffering! (No need for shame on this baby!)

The chain store selections are usually snoozer dull, but it's amazing how some things creep in that are rare jewels, such as yours. You've got to wonder if the stores' have a brilliant buyer who tests the market from time to time, or if some shmoe just checks off a list, not knowing what he's ordering.

So this guy summers outside... I have a mental image of you lying in the grass with your camera at midnight, a black light trained on your angraecum, waiting to snap the photographic evidence of that singular moth's singular tongue in the act!

(Oh please don't even respond to that - the imagined scene is far too precious!)

    Julie
