Thanks! I AM proud of this one because it was quite tiny when I bought it last year at the Broward Orchid show. I keep sniffing it but I don't smell anything so I don't think it has any fragrance.....I am actually a bit confused as to whether it is an encyclia or epidendrum....the label says:

Epi. Mabel Kanda 'Miyao' x Epi. randianum

So since that is two Epi.'s, I thought it was an epidendrum. Then I saw it in a book and it was labelled as encyclia...!

    Either way, I love it!

Epicyclia Mabel Kanda is Encyclia cordigera x Epidendrum densiflorum

and Epi Randianum is usually called Encyclia Randii

So I guess you have an Epicyclia ...

Whatever it is called, it is very pretty, I like the white lip with the pink stipes.

What a sweet, delicate looking thing, no matter what it's called.

Maybe someone should stop changing names on orchids?? LOL

Thanks guys for dropping a little French in the thread!

I would imagine that Encyclias are popular in Europe as well, they're so pretty!
